Once conflicts and disasters leave the front pages, it is easy to forget about them. The Rwandan genocide, which occurred sixteen years ago, still has strong and deep political, military and social reverberations in the region. Rwanda has far from recovered. The Human Promise, in funding the university education of an orphan of the Rwandan genocide, Jean-de-Dieu Morenzi, hopes to do its part in rebuilding this nation.
